just a quick observation from April 2

last weekend we went on a whale watch, out of Monterey California. A hummingbird was following the boat as we headed North and I thought it was just taking a short-cut across the bay. When we stopped to observe some orca whales( 12 MILES FROM ANY LAND(link) ) there were 5 or 6 Allens/Roufus in a very tight group. Maybe when migrating or out at sea they like to travel together, but I'm used to them driving each other away. It was spectacular.
