Can anyone tell me what I have been watching today at Fairburn Ings?
I am very very new to this and can not find this duck in my book or on any web sites.
Is it just a juvenile something or other?
Thanks

HI Linz, I notice this is your first post so can I welcome you to BF and wish you well here. There is a Yorkshire Birding thread here feel free to lurk or join in the banter, we're all reasonable people.
Your birds are one of the numerous forms that domesticated ducks can take, as they are almost all derived from mallards a good tip is to look for the curly feathers on the tail.... a sure sign of a bit of mallard ancestry.:t:
