Hi all,

Could any body help me ID this bird in amongst the Turnstones I saw today at The Lizard in Cornwall. My first instinct was a Dunlin because of the slightly curved beak however the legs aren't black so now I'm leaning towards a Knot. I could be completely wrong mind. Any help is appreciated!

That's a Purple Sandpiper - always a good bird to see. Been a few reports from the Lizard this winter/spring - last I think was at Lizard Point on the 8th -

Amazing! Thanks very much, the plumage is much darker in my book so I would never have gotten that. Thank you for the welcome!:-D
