Snapped (not digiscoped) this lovely female Northern Wheatear at South Stack on Anglesey, on 12th September, when I was over for a quick visit to the UK.

Same Wheatear showing nice rear view. She was so co-operative I was able to take about a dozen pix before she finally flew off.

Lovely shots, Helen. The second pic is a familiar composition for the Northern Wheatear, posing on a rocky outcrop. These birds are surprisingly (thankfully) bold... Ideal photo subjects.

Hope you enjoyed your visit to Anglesey, especially South Stack.

Thanks guys!
Yes, I enjoyed my short trip to the UK and the weather was great. Didn't take my scope on this trip, so all the birdy pix were taken with the Olympus. Got some pretty good shots of the Choughs at South Stack, but the Peregrines had gone - sigh. Did see the nest with 3 young last year in June, but only had my Canon SLR with 300mm lens, then - could definitely have got some better pix this time. Will post a Chough pic for you to see.
Also checked out the Valley Lakes Reserve - hadn't realised it was so close to RAF Valley!
