Pros: Great coverage - almost 100 degrees
Cons: Watching th cats jump out of their skin and scarper!!!

I bought this to protect our birdtables as recommended by the RSPB. Boy does it give the cats a scare, but they leave at least dry and unharmed. I have a small town garden so one of these covers the feeding stations no problem but you can daisy chain more than one unit with extension cables from one mains adaptor without too much trouble (purchased seperately) Alternatively you can run these with a 9v battery, battery life depends on how much action passes in front of the PIR. It\'s a breeze to set up and has great coverage and is easily tested via a flashing red light, that goes on when a cat comes in it\'s path.Get one and let the feasting continue without murderous intruders!!

Pros: Keeps most Cats away from the bird table
Cons: Trailng cable

We\'ve had one of these in our garden for several months now and it has proved effective at keeping the cats away from the bird table and feeders. Some cats don\'t react when they trigger the unit - though they don\'t remain in our garden. Some carefull siting is needed to avoid too many \'dead-spots\'. Unless your garden is a bowling green there will be some - but an occasional move of a couple of metres will obviously move these around and persuade the local cats to go elswhere. Bear in mind you will need to have somewhere to plug in the mains unit and a route for the cable.

Pros: Cats suck!
Cons:

I don't own one of these but I really worry about their effects on bats. I'd hate to deter the bats which use my garden, and anyone with a batbox in their yard should really think twice before getting one of these.
