I have the Canon 300 F2.8 L IS Mk1 but I do not have a 5D4!

I do have a 1DX, 7D2, EOS 3, EOS 33V etc - they all work superbly with my Canon 300 F2.8. I would have no concerns about using one with a...

As others have suggested the "Best" camera and lens(es) is very much down to your uses/needs plus the size and distance of your subjects.

Some more information would help us make some better...

As far as I know you will only be able to use and extender/teleconverter in manual focus or live view modes with the 60D and those lenses. To use extenders with auto-focus you will need an F4 lens...

This looks VERY interesting! I wonder how it will perform with big camera lenses? Being Gitzo I suspect that it will be good for at least twice it's load rating! Their tripods carry 3 to 4 times what...

The OP has the 1DX Mk2 so the speed of the lens is less important - though must still be considered. The 800 and 300 combination? Earlier today I was down at Carmarthen Cameras looking to sell my 300...

Not so sure. I used to have the Canon 600 F4 L IS (+ extenders) but I find the Canon 800 F5.6 L IS to be a significantly better lens on FF crop and film.

Now the Canon 600 F4 L IS Mk2 is a different...

I use my 1DX (Mk1) primarily with the Canon 800 F5.6 L IS and it is a superb, if heavy, combination. I also use the Canon 100-400 Mk2 and the Canon 300 F2.8 L IS.

Basically the 1DX series will work...

I would agree with Dave - probably why I bought the Canon 100-400 Mk2!
