Looks a Violaceous (Guianan) to me. Eye-ring shape and some white separating the grey breast from the rest of the underparts look very Violaceous to me.

It does look good for a Least Flycatcher but they are quite rare in CRica. Can this be a Yellow-bellied Fly instead?
I've been fooled a few times in Costa Rica with very pale looking wintering ones...

Checked the pics again and yes, it's a Plain Xenops alright. I was confused about the apparent very pale iris but there is some kind of strong light issue I guess.
