Hi all, Surprised no one has started a thread for this lens yet, it seems to be a fantastic option for us wildlife photographers. Here is a first attempt with the lens attached to the A73. So far so good, next test is birds in flight.

    Gambia..Disgusting guide behaviour

Thought I would share my experiences of a week in The Gambia, 10th-17th November. We had agreed to go for a walk in the local area to photograph the birds...

    Canon 70-200mm F4 L with 1.4x converter or 100-400

This has probably been done to death now but as the title says, which would be the better combo? It will be very much a second system behind my 400 prime but the flexibility would be nice to have. Just wondering how the F4 non IS L holds up with a 1.4 converter? Mk iii Canon the best I assume...

    5D mk ii or 70D?

Have been looking at the 70D for a while now but after some searching discovered that a 5D mk ii can be bought second hand for around the same money as a new 70D. I am used to crop sensor canons (60D, 550D) but have heard very good things about the 5D. What are users thoughts? Thanks

Hey all, Friend (non birder so not on here) has an issue with her 500D. The camera seems to no longer communicates with lenses, no autofocus and no aperture control. She isn't sure what went wrong, just happened one day when she went to use it. Has assured me its not been dropped or bashed...

    Canon 30D quandary

Hey all, DSLR new boy here so bare with me. I have had a couple of "super zoom" cameras and have found the zoom you get absolutely fantastic, but have found the small sensor size a real limiter for poor light photography and getting images that show finer detail. Now my current quandary is do I...
