    Chickadee with with head

    Today at my feeder, had a Chickadee with a solid white head, no black on the head. Of course I didn't have my phone or a camera handy and he hasn't come back.

    Cedar Waxwings

    If anyone is interested in seeing Cedar Waxwings feeding, go to Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville , Ga. There are huge flocks feeding on red berries growing on trees in the mall parking lot.

    Vanguard Customer Service

    Back in 2011, I bought on Amazon, a pair of Vanguard Spirit 8360 8 x 36 binoculars, Only gave $51 and just wanted something to keep in my truck. They do good enough for my non critical eye. Gradually the setting for diopter ran out of adjustment and I couldn't get the right eyepiece focused...

    iphone app to ID birds

    There is an app available from the Apple istore called MERLIN BIRD ID. It has a good listing of birds, sounds,etc and its free.
