Presumably trying to find a connection to the previously named species no longer applies?

    Scythebill transfer

Thanks. I will certainly bear that in mind.

    Scythebill transfer

Thanks for that. I wish I knew that before trawling through 7000 species.

    Scythebill transfer

I resolved my sp by going to the show reports page and going through list manually. It was a major job with c7000 species to check. Invariably they involved species which had been split and both new species occurred in a given country. Brazil was a good example of this.

Antioquia Brushfinch Paramillo Tapaculo Urrao Antpitta

Britain's most prolific egg collector, reoffends again.

I would certainly concur with you there. I lived in the country until I was nine and almost all of the boys were eggers. When I then moved into town, virtually none of my classmates knew anything about it.

Britain's most prolific egg collector, reoffends again.

I’m 70 and growing up in the west Wales countryside egging was my first introduction to birding. We only ever took one egg from a nest .

Britain's most prolific egg collector, reoffends again.

Incredibly he isn’t being sentenced until the 3rd May so will be free to wreak havoc for the first few weeks of the breeding season.

    Antpitta

Forgot to mention that we also saw Antioquia Brushfinch at the site. Apparently the Antpitta was discovered whilst they were checking out the area for the Brushfinch.

    Antpitta

Photos taken using my mobile on 2nd February, whilst on the Birdquest Colombia with s Difference tour. The bird was at a feeding station, but we also saw one away from there. Never posted a photo here before so apologies for the duplication.

Two people break 10,000 species, and on the same day? Can it be?

It’s very easy to make mistakes when entering records. I used to keep my World list on an IOC spreadsheet with a column added for counting number of species seen in each family and also the overall total. Since then I also enter my records onto Scythebill. Needless to say the two counts didn’t...

Two people break 10,000 species, and on the same day? Can it be?

I was at Colibri del Sol last Saturday so only missed Jason Mann by two days. Neither the Starfrontlet or the Flowerpiercer were ticks. Urrao Antpitta and Paramillo Tapaculo were however.

What was your best found “patch bird”this year?

Many thanks for that. They were my two county ticks for the year.

    Inaccessible bird species

I saw it at Cerro Chucanti in February.
