    Interesting, birds like bufflehead normally appear on rare bird thread. Not heard of any escapes recently. Maybe give site details and might get a few visitors , to dermine if ringed ,wing clipped and take it its uk Uttoxeter cheers jim

    Went up to cairngorms last week for ptarmigan then on to a site usually productive for caper before the area becomes out of bounds before lekking. Only to find forest was an absolute bomb site with huge stacks of logs everywhere and the ground was covered in huge rutted tracks. Have heard...

    My sentiments Gordon. Areas to accessable now for dog walkers and family picnics. Come up 2 or 3 times year and amount of dogs running around unbelievable also every track now seems to be a cycle track. Something really needs sorting out about these vulnerable areas. If I disturb birds...

    Back to caperwatch. It's no wonder none seen the forests round about seem like Sunday school jaunts now. There are families and groups everywhere is it time some of these areas were made no go zones

    Probably part of problem why so hard to locate .In most places I used to see at least a couple flying birds. People with dogs abound not on leashes and the shrieks and shouts of there owners when the dogs dissappear off the paths must be detrimental to the birds coming near the paths...

    Know 1 was briefly seen . Flushed by a deer on first day of caperwatch .was in the main centre in afternoon of that day .complete rabble walked out after 5 minutes
