    At What Savings?

I have both the old el and the sv. The sv is better, but with the large discounts, the el is the better value. The old el will hold its own to all other alphas and you should be happy. If you think your situation is bad imagine the folks who paid 1925 for the old model and now the new model is...

Distortion Characteristics of Three Swarovision Models

I can say one thing about the SV models, the image makes me say.........wow. Rolling ball seems to be a very personal experience. I can't see why anyone who would spend this much money would not test before they buy.

    DVD Cases: The Ultimate Test?

There is a problem with testing words and letters. Word recognition is partially top down and facilitated by knowledge of the language. Thus partial recognition of some features may compensate for weaker cues resulting in a correct identification of the word. This has been shown empirically...

Need ED glass for a razor view?

    Of course.

Need ED glass for a razor view?

I find the topic fascinating and my point is to not get caught up in marketing features. I won't pick on particular models here, but just because a binocular has dielectric coatings and ED glass, doesn't mean it is better than a more expensive and "outdated model" that doesn't. More or less a...

Need ED glass for a razor view?

Can a binocular be razor sharp under normal conditions without ED glass? I am not talking about rough conditions in which you look up at branches on a bright cloudy day. If I read and didn't test, I'd say ED is necessary and totally superior. Problem with this rhetoric is the Nikon SE, premier...

    Why do you love SWARO?

Build quality, razor view, bright, long eye relief, wide field of view, and ergonomics. Not many swaro fans here?

    Why do you love SWARO?

Swaro owners, it is time we had a post dedicated to us. Please list the reasons why you bought a swaro, why you kept it and why you would never sell it. Ode to the EL, SV, SLC and SLC HD. Long live the green machine, or tan if you prefer.

Review Swarovski EL 8x32 Swarovison binoculars

Nikon SE is putting the SV's out of production. How dare the swaro owners post a positive review in the swaro forum. Shame on you!

    Vortex Razor HD 8x42's Available

As I said in a PM to CHosen, I am reluctant to say much about the new Razor 10x42 i tried this weekend. It was a short look, but I strongly recommend trying it next to the Meopta HD as well as others before buying.
