    Clamator glandarius

Is it possible that I heard a pair of these calling the other night in a woody area of western Vienna, Austria? I had never heard a call like it, and a bit of digging around on the net led me to here: Great Spotted Cuckoo (Clamator glandarius) :: xeno-canto. The 5th and 6th sound sample sound...

    Mistery... Kattinger Watt, northern Germany

Taken two weeks ago with a 560mm lens, so the foreshortening distorts the size comparison with the two Waggies somewhat. There were a number of Starlings about if that is any help. Also Meadow Pipits, Linnits, and various Wagtails.

    Spotted Flycatcher? Feuersbrunn, Austria

We are not that strong on our LBJs, ;) and we think this is a Spotted Flycatcher. We saw him is a place where they don't seem to be common, and there were no references to SFCs in the spottings booklet at the hide.

My E-M1 Mark II setup for birds.... (what works for me, and what is only one set of possibilities for this immensely configurable camera). Common Buzzard? Hungary

This one was perched on top of a pole and was holding its wing out in a strange way. But it then flew into a nearby tree, and seemed to be able to fly OK. Just wondering what it is. Looks pretty buzzardy to me....
