    I tend to use the Habicht more often as I don't do much in the way of birding. The Habicht is the one I take on family vacations and day trips. My Father in law tried them both and then bought a Nikon EII for himself.

    The Docter Nobilem 15x60 is an alternative to the used Zeiss. At least it is readily available new and less expensive. I am very happy with mine though I have not tried the Zeiss!

    The Habicht is an old design and not quite up to modern standards. Veiling glare can be a problem when there is strong light to the sides of the observer. In the Binomania comparison with the Nikon 8x32 SE, Pier gives the Nikon higher marks in this area. http://www.binomania.it/wordpress/?p=455

    The Habicht is waterproof and has modern coatings but everything else about it is retro. Short eye relief, rubber eyecups, designed over 50 years ago. I love it anyway. It is a classic old school waterproof porro.
