    Weavers - Zambia

This was taken in North Luangwa National Park in August 2019. On range the only red-eyed weavers which would be expected are Southern Masked and Village. Any thoughts?

Bird song - near Inverness, Scotland

This bird was at Aldourie, near Inverness, yesterday. I was out without binoculars and couldn't get close enough to identify, but I believe it was a Sylvia warbler.

    Sound recordings - Portugal

The attached recodings were made in the Faia Brava reserve in eastern Portugal in early April. I believe both are Sylvia warblers, but not necessarily the same species. Apologies for the poor quality of the recordings. Any help much appreciated.

Bird of prey - Segovia, Spain

Apologies for the poor photos, but am I right in thinking this is a Booted Eagle (pale morph)? Seen in Segovia, Spain on 10 April 2022.

Best site for Spanish Imperial Eagle in the Madrid area

I will be visiting the Madrid area in early April. I understand that El Pardo and Chapinería (ZEPA information centre) are both potential sites for Spanish Imperial Eagle. Any thoughts on which would be the best to visit? Or is there an even better site in the area?

    Yellow larvae in web

I found this inside the lid of a compost bin in Inverness, UK. The yellow larva came out of the structure beside it and I presume there are many more inside it.

    Helleborine, Devon

This was seen at Stover Country Park, Devon, on 11 July. I believe it is Broad-leaved helleborine. I now realise that this was not a good angle at which to take the photo, but can the identity be confirmed nonetheless?

    Warbler, Inverness, UK

Unfortunately I had no binoculars with me when I recorded this so was unable to identify this warbler visually. It was singing from gorse bushes and small trees in Inverness. Apologies for the traffic and wind noise in this recording, but hopefully the bird can still be heard clearly enough.

    Zambia - weaver

    Seedeater, Zambia

From Mutinondo Wilderness in August. I'm undecided whether this is Reichard's Seedeater or Black-eared. Apologies for the quality of the photos (much cropped and lightened) but I am hopeful that enough can be seen to allow identification.

    Egrets, Zambia

This was taken in North Luangwa NP in August. Apologies for the quality of the photos, but hope they're good enough to confirm egret IDs. Would you agree that the left-hand egret is great, the right-hand one is intermediate/yellow-billed and the central one (behind the puku) is cattle egret?

    More from Mutinondo, Zambia

These were taken at Mutinondo Wilderness, northern Zambia. I believe the first two photos are Miombo tit, but would welcome confirmation. The third looks like a crombec due to the very short tail. Default would be red-capped at this location. Is there any other possibility?
