    I saw this moth species that I believe is a Hummingbird Hawk Moth, can anybody confirm the species. I have never heard of this species being seen in the Falkland Islands before. Cheers Alan

    Seedeater - Panama

    Saw this seedeater this morning near Buenaventura beach resort on the coast of the Pacific in El Chiru region. It was singing rather than calling so presume it is a male? Can't see anything like it in the field guides. Cheers Alan

    Any ID ideas? Saw both these this morning near Buenaventura beach resort on the coast of the Pacific in El Chiru region. Both birds were very small with the second being the smaller of the two. Paltry Tyrannulet and Yellow Crowned Tyrannulet? Cheers Alan

    Plover and Nighthawk - Panama

    Saw these plovers and nighthawk near Buenaventura beach resort on the coast of the Pacific in El Chiru region today. Is the plover facing left Wilson's and the one facing right Collared? Nighthawk I suspect is Lesser? there were about 6 birds on a scrubby area behind the beach. Cheers Alan

    Hummer species - Panama

    I saw this species of Hummingbird today in the grounds of the Buenaventura beach resort on the coast of the Pacific in El Chiru region. I was thinking Rufous Breasted Hermit, but looking at the books it seems slightly out of range. Any ideas? Cheers Alan
