    Sounds like the adapter ring is too loose. Try a wrap of electrical tape on the eyepiece. If not happy with that see if phoneskope will swap it for the next size down.     Have to agree about the Pallid Harrier. I went a few times as well. Absolutely blew my socks off. Seen several but this one was special. A bird I will never forget.

    I use the 30x DS eyepiece. Phone Skope provide cases for most phones then you get an adapter ring to fit your eyepiece. This then fits onto the phone case. Found the phone Skope dealer very helpful when I was starting up. Well worth ringing them.

    Close but no cigar (again) Neighbor and fellow birder just watched a flock of ring necked parakeets fly over his house and mine. Got the call and ran out but too late. I had been sat in the garden all afternoon and gone in 3mins before the call. Garden lifer as well 😢😢

    Managed an hour at S’albufera after picking the hire car up. Lots of good birds inc purple heron and gallinule, glossy ibis etc then a large raptor which threw me until I realised it was a golden eagle. Presumably the escape bird mentioned earlier.?
