Seen today with a flock of Canada goose was this nearly white goose which I presume is some sort of farm yard goose gone wild, not much else it could be. This is in Cornwall ,Mawgan Porth.
Thanks for that, I thought the right bird looks to fat for a Cormorant and the left one to thin for a Cormorant or a shag, but there were reports of a Great Northern diver around there today.always an optimist.
Anybody which Tern this is, I know very poor photo, huge crop, on the Camel estuary Padstow, Cornwall today. There were half a dozen fishing, they were diving vertically from maybe twenty to twenty five feet, good to watch.
Thanks, I thought when I first saw them there was something different about them, just the way they flew and skimmed the surface, I am probably wrong and you are right, but I thought it worth the question.
These two birds were bugging me today, just could not be sure what they were, very slow wing beats and they kept skimming the sea in the same area but not landing, this was off Porth Joke in Cornwall this afternoon. Any ideas gratefully accepted.thanks.
Hi, is this a Black headed gull ? It just did not look right and the same as the other BHG' s, to white and clean looking and the legs and beak different, thanks in advance.
