    Water Rail Nice views watching this Water Rail at the Kingfisher screen Fairburn, interesting in that it was swimming out and feeding on the small fish that are in large numbers..... Didn't realise they liked "sushi"... second one not good, sorry... but it does show it with fish in beak..

    Went to Vretsia today hoping to see G V, no luck .... are they still there ..? We seat in the hide and was entertained by approx 12 Red rumped swallows flying around, then had a Masked Shrike, Collared fly and several. Zit Cols

    Froth on tree bark

    Hia, Sorry no pics .................but while out walking today in the teeming rain, we came across some trees ( I think they were Ash but not sure) that had clumps of frothy, foam like bubbles at the base where the rain was running down the bark. Has anyone any ideas what causes this...

    Nest recording, why the abuse.

    It does make you think...... when the "researchers" were filmed on Springwatch this year, walking the hedge rows swatting the bushes to "spook" birds from nests and give us the chance of seeing a so and so bird on TV and not a word is said in condemnation.................. Cheers WM
