    Nocmig bird calls from Estonia

Hi guys, So I made my first nocturnal recording last night, scanned through it, managed to pick out among dogs barking, people yelling and cars passing 5 tree pipits flying over, resident blackbirds, robins and hooded crows calling just before sunrise. Dunlin? in Estonia

Picked out this wader with dunlins on 25th of May in Estonia. It stood out because instead of the black belly it had only a few black spots on breast, much grayer colour of upperparts and looked a bit bigger than other dunlins. Bill is exactly like a dunlin. I guess it is a dunlin that is just...

    Pallid or Montagu's Harrier? (Estonia)

Pictures taken yesterday at Põõsaspea cape in Estonia. Bird came in from the sea and shot past me along the cape. First day out

First of January, when normal people are sleeping out their hangover, keen birdwatchers are sneaking out with first light. A new yearly list to keep has opened. We tick our first Great Tit for a year with a sense of accomplishment. We do not bother to look at them for the next 364 days. I hoped...
