7Dmk2 and Tamrom 150-600 focus issue

I certainly don't think it's got anything to do with shutter speed, I've been able to get pretty sharp images at 1/200-ish when the lighting has been really poor. The camera/lens combo does produce some very sharp images, I uploaded a couple here, http://imgur.com/a/2F6rD but I have still been...

7Dmk2 and Tamrom 150-600 focus issue

They were both at 800 ISO, 500mm (not 600 as I originally stated, but the issue still persists), the soft image was at f6.3 and the sharp one at f7.1, shutter speed was 1/640 for both. I hand held, as I normally do and generally I get great results. I was on P mode and used the center focus...

7Dmk2 and Tamrom 150-600 focus issue

I had the first one set to Focus and the second Equal...although that menu is for AI Servo, right? I was using One Shot in the sample pictures.

7Dmk2 and Tamrom 150-600 focus issue

Hi, I've been having a focus issue for quite a while, I primarily photograph birds using a 7Dmk2 and a Tamron 150-600. Focus seems to miss a lot randomly and I've no idea if it's down to me, the lens or the body. I think these two pictures demonstrate the issue, taken less than a second apart...

    Withymoor - Amblecote, Stourbridge.....

I thought I would share this picture of a Great Spotted Woodpecker nestling I took last month, I could hear it chirping all morning one day when I was at work and saw the adult birds constantly coming back and forth from these set of trees....when I got the chance I went to investigate and found...

    Upton Warren

Sorry to be extremely off topic, but you guys seem to know a lot and the Gloucestershire forum seems quite dead...but does anyone know if the Short Eared Owls are still at Hawling? I don't get to get out much and wouldn't want it to be a wasted trip, thanks!

    Withymoor - Amblecote, Stourbridge.....

Hi Gavin, I have a Canon 700D and a Tamron 150-600mm lens which I do the vast majority of my photography on. rollingthunder, here are the two Little Grebes I saw at Withymoor, they are quite poor quality pictures as I was the other side of the lake and the lighting was bad. The one has...

    Withymoor - Amblecote, Stourbridge.....

Is there anywhere that I can see the records of birds at Mary Stevens? I actually went down to Withymoor quickly this afternoon and there were two Little Grebes! I've got pictures of them both in the same shot, but they are still on my camera, so you'll just have to take my word for it for the...

    Withymoor - Amblecote, Stourbridge.....

Hi rollingthunder, no that wouldn't be me, the person who told me is a man. I left the park at around 3:20PM yesterday, looks like you just missed me if you were there at 4, I have a DSLR with a very big lens on the end of it, I'm hard to miss! I did have at least 5 lots of people speak to me...

Hi, I'm new to birdforum, I'm from Stourbridge. Early afternoon today I went to Mary Stevens Park to see the Cormorant my friend had told me was there (after going early Saturday and not seeing it), the Cormorant was there and spent most of the afternoon fishing...to my surprise, there were also...
