    7x42 Meostar B1

    Just acquired my first Meopta for what is becoming a binocular collection. Very happy with them. In my basement test of the dark corners they rivaled my Swaros. Only down side to the Meopta's is that they are heavier than most.

    Tripod adapters

    I finally got hold of Leupold's new binocular adapter. Look's like it will work well and is priced reasonably. It uses an elastic strap instead of the more common rubber strap. It's very light and compact, well suited for hiking. Only drawback I can see is it's a little small for larger binos...

    Monovid 8x20

    Ordered one while at the NRA convention. Came in today. All I can say they are outstanding. The close up lens works very well too. I've had the little Zeiss 5x10 for years and found it handy many times when traveling. Wanted something more, but really didn't know what until I tried the little Leica.

    Maven at the NRA Convention in Louisville

    Finally got to actually see and hold a Maven. They had them all at the show. In particular I liked the 7x45 & 6x30. Really didn't see anything to dislike. It's pretty hard to make any real evaluation inside a convention center, but I've found that looking up into the dark corners of the celling...
