Dielectric coating vs ED glass ?

To answer op's question, in thise case I would always take the ED glass rated first. I would always appreciate a clean chromatic aberration free image over a little bit more brightness and slightly better contrast dielectric prism coatings offer. You can get the Bushnell legend M, which is...

    Hd

I would imagine that "HD" means that most of all the element groups are achromatic doublets. And I would guess that "ED" means that all element groups are achromatic doublets or higher.

    Is Vortex Optics next??

Absolutley no, Vortex is skyrocketing in business right now, they just moved into their new super huge headquarters in Barneveld a week ago. I believe that Vortex bought all of Eagle optics assets. Their sales to the gun optics segment is in itself massivley profitable.

My eyes always seem to shed a significant amount of tears when I mount the eyecups of my binoculars to my eyes, and I just dont seem to know why. I dont have any headaches or eyestrains, my eyes just get really wet when I look through binoculars. I find myself routinely wiping my tears off the...

    Daytime benefit of large objectives?

Larger exit pupils from large objectives also makes it more comfortable to look through, you dont have to keep your head or binocular hold as still.

At least 57-60 AFOV for me 315 ft/1000 yard for 10x 370 ft/1000 yard for 8x Anything less than 50 afov is not worth the view for me personally. It's tunnel vision.
