    Ducks & gull, Wismar, North Germany

    Hi, I need some help, please. The first duck was on a freshwater lake in the south of Wismar, the other to photos were taken on the island of Poel (Baltic sea near Wismar). The gull I think is either Lesser or Great Black-Backed, but I don't know how to tell the difference. Thanks, Kristina

    Hello, Could you help me and confirm the IDs? I think one pic shows a sparrowhawk and a buzzard and the other one a sparrowhawk and a carrion crow. As far as I could tell every bird survived the encounter, but would it be possible for a sparrowhawk to kill a crow or a buzzard? Cheers, Kristina
