    Ps it only looks like you can use it on M-Rec setting and full, see pages 37 through 41 (at least that is what they are on the manual that is online)

    Bev, by any chance do you have the camera set on Best shot selector. If you do you can't use a hi setting. The other thing is that you might need to do a firmware upgrade. Have you ever done that with the 990? See the manual page where it talks about Best Shot Selector. Also look for the manual...
