    Hi hgalbraith, Unfortunately even in the original photo, there are no other birds or objects that can be used as a size reference. Since this is from 2019 I can't recall much details either. My bad. Thank you for trying.

    This was taken back in October 2012 in the early morning at Pattipola railway station on our way to Horton plains (Sri Lanka). This pair was resting on a raft. (probably asleep as it was around 3:30 AM as I recall.) Please help me to identify them. Thank you.

    Flock of Munias close to Colombo.

    Thanks Dwatsonbirder & Mummymonkey. Both of you are probably correct since we always had a flock of Scaly breasted munias roaming around. Indian silverbills would be bit out of place, where I observed them. Thanks again.
