Victory T*FL 32 - Difference in eyepiece lens diameter

Thanks, Foss. I recently saw one birder with a Z V FL 8x32 and the ocular lens looked a bit smaller than on mine 10x32. I was a bit surprised because the normal is usually the oposite due to the size of the exit pupil.

Roger Vine Zeiss 10x30 SFL review

Great review! Thanks 😀 Is SFL in the ”Victory line”? Or maybee in a new line with no name, somewhere between Victory and Conquest. And I hope Zeiss will go for a SFL Pocket with 20 mm (that really fits your pocket).

Kowa TSN-EX16S extender on TSN 663

Hi! I have 663-M Prominar with the 1.6 extender and the eyepiece 30xW and what I can say it works well. With such a high magnification (48x) combined with 66 mm objective the exit pupil is small (1.4). With that comes limitations (you need good day light and difficulties to line up your eye)...

The Zeiss SFL 8x30 compared with select current 8x30/8x32 roof binoculars

Canip! What a lovely comparison! I read it with a lot of enthusiasm. I believe I need a SFL more and more. Do you perhaps have a clue wich of the binoculars who has the largest ocular lens diameter? Maybee add that measurement to the chart.

Unbranded porro 7x32 with strange design

Hi Richard. Sorry about the broken link and also thank's for your comments. But I particularly mean the mechanic and design of the focus wheel and how it moves the ocular bridge - have you ever seen this "strange" design of a focus mechanism? All the best Yellowhammer, Sweden

Hi Binastro. Thank you very much for your comments. But I particularly mean the mechanic and design of the focus wheel and how it moves the ocular bridge. Yes indeed. Very kind of you like to add this in your fine collection! As far as I know only Opticron have this measurement under ”Technical specifications” on their webbsite.

Is FoV measured from one tube or both tubes?

Now it is getting really complicated for me… But I am very happy otherwise 😊 Off topic/By the way - Wich one would you buy if you wanted a compact; Sw Curio 7x21 or Leica UV 8x20? Wonderer Yellowhammer

Is FoV measured from one tube or both tubes?

But if not the size of the objectives affect the FOV - why is almost every 32 mm bino wider than the 42 mm? (Except for the NL Pure 8x42 that has a wider FOV than the 8x32). Does the focal lenght affect the FOV in this case?

Have scopes nowadays Porro or Roof prisms?

If a scope has porro prisms - like my Kowa TSN 663M Prominar. Is there any advantage with ED lens in the objective then? (Kowa use the term XD, but its the same). What I’ve learned CA is not an issue with porro.

Have scopes nowadays Porro or Roof prisms?

Thank you very much. Is this knowledge from a website or how do you know so much about scopes and prisms? I have Kowa TSN-663 M Prominar. Do you know the prisms on that? And what does the letter M stands for? Sincerely

Is FoV measured from one tube or both tubes?

I have around ten binos 😊 mostly pockets and compacts with magnifikation from 6,5-8. I was thinking if there was a world standard that all brands use the same kind of fov-measurement. An example - If, for instanse Opticron, is doing their FoV-measurement from only one eye, it Will show a...

Is FoV measured from one tube or both tubes?

Thank you John. But do you think the companies measure the FoV from one barrel or by both? If I look with one eye in my binos, I am pretty sure I see a narrower FOV. If I look with both eyes the FoV seems to stretch out a bit, especially sideways (left to right). Not sure up and down.

Is FoV measured from one tube or both tubes?

Hi Maljunulo. I have no problem with the IPD or anything like that. My question was about the measure of the FoV. If it says 8 degrees on my bino. Is that measurement done from one barrel or both. Do you understand my question better now?
