    A regular visitor in my garden this particular Robin since the winter. It's made multiple nesting attempts and was feeding young last month but I've not seen any youngsters around. Feathers starting to look a bit tatty around the head area with some feather loss.

    Dorset birding

    They arrived around 1.15pm but weren't there for long today and weren't feeding on the berries over the road. Just seemed to flit around the tree tops and moved on after maybe 30 to 45 minutes. Sunny days seem to be best, that's when they stay for long periods. Paul.

    Generally that method yields quite poor results. The eyepiece basically projects an image onto the cameras sensor but eyepieces don't project a flat image. This can result in an image that is sharper only in the middle and softer or out of focus away from the centre. So many people try this...

    New to Digiscoping - Need Adapter Help

    The 85mm would let in much more light and should certainly allow the use of a 50mm lens on the camera. Try hand holding the camera behind the eyepiece of the scope when it's focused on a target and take some photos. That would let you see what you can expect if you had a dedicated adapter. Paul.

    That sort of adapter would probably give you the best image quality as it allows you to keep the lens on the camera. They mention using a 50mm lens with the adapter but that might be a bit much for a 65mm scope. Dropping down to a 35mm or 28mm prime lens might be better as it will give a...
