    Gull I.D. Chew Valley UK.

    Could someone confirm that this is a Blackheaded Gull. The head appears Black rather than dark brown and I cannot discern any red on the bill, not sure if it is a trick of the light or not. Taken today at Herriot`s Pool, Chew Valley Lakes.

    I.D. please Salgados Portugal

    Possible female Weaver species. This bird was seen at Salgados Portugal yesterday (18th Oct) it was calling, but I was concentrating on getting as clear a shot as possible that I failed to notice the bright yellow male with the black head until she flew off and he joined her.

    Wader Uk Common Sandpiper or not?

    I.D 2 From Portugal Robber Fly and ??

    No1 Is a Robber Fly at Cabranosa. Can anyone identify please. No2 was taken at Praia do Oura and resembles something we used to call a Devil`s Coachman when I was a child, only bigger. Many thanks to Simon Wates for pointing out the Robber Fly
