    Nightingales at Pulbourgh Brooks

    Yes they are always difficult to get eyes on. We heard several in different areas but this was the only one we actually saw!

    Pretty good views of a Nightingale, eventually!! at Pulborough Brooks today, heard several around the reserve but only one gave views.     Seaford Head

    Fairly quiet at the Head this morning. Corn Bunting, couple of Wheatear, Common Whitethroat, Skylarks, Whimbrel, Pipits and a Reed Bunting the best of it!! If anyone has any opinions on the Diver and Willow Warbler feel free to air them!!! Pics on the blog at the link...

    Windmills to the Beacon

    Clayton to Ditchling to be more precise, last Sunday. Heard a Corn Bunting but couldn't find it, Red Kite, Buzzard, Raven, a Wheatear that wouldn't pose and a Yellowhammer that posed extremely well! The views are also pretty spectacular here and my other half got a few pics of them as well...

    Beachy Bonanza!

    Yes for sure, should really have gone for the Eastbourne ones on the first attempt as they were much more showy. But I was too lazy!! Could have gone after work in the week as well, but to knackered !!! So mostly my own fault!! Had a nice day though and some good birds seen, so can't complain!!

    Splash Point again!! This time there's Skuas!!

    Another Seawatch at Splash Point Seaford, nice and windy had 7 Arctic Skuas through in 4 hours, fair few Terns, Gannets, Common Scoter, a Little Gull, Med and Common Gulls, Brent Geese, a Black-throated Diver and plenty of the local Fulmars and Kittiwake!!     Patching Hurstpierpoint

    Another long walk, from the house today, bit of a later start and a nippy breeze seemed to bring out the Raptors several Sprawks seen, Buzzards, Kestrels and a couple of Ravens.     Car in the garage, so a local walk around Hurstpierpoint, pretty quiet really, though winkled out a few nice bits, mainly Yellowhammers which seem to be hanging on around here, couple of Linnets, a Red Kite and a Sparrowhawk the best of the rest!!
