    North American Shorebird ID reference?

    Pine Warbler? New Hampshire, USA

    Red Squirrel and a sleeping Nuthatch

    This was one tired White-breasted Nuthatch, not even a kiss from a Red Squirrel could wake it.

    Taxonomic order?

    I downloaded the recently updated ABA checklist and noticed the order is different than in my Sibley's and Stoke's field guides (which arent the same as each other either). Why do they all chose different orders? and which one is correct?

    White-breasted Nuthatch behavior

    I watched a nuthatch climbing a tree come face to face with a chipmonk on his way down. The nuthatch spread his wings, leaned back and slowly rocked back and forth. I've never seen that before it was quite amusing. However the chipmonk wasn't intimidated and the nuthatch flew away.

    Flycatchers baffle me.

    Aside from their call I can't tell these two flycatchers apart. The first two are the same bird I saw today and was able to snap these poor quality pictures. I suspect it is an Eastern Wood-pewee because it never bobbed its tail and I was able to hear what sounded like the second part of its...

    Dragonfly ID

    I was birding one morning and this dragonfly decided to use my finger for a perch even after a few pics I couldnt get this thing to let go of my finger. anyone know what this is or where I can find an online field guide?

    Juv Chipping Sparrow?

    Hello I was wondering if I could get some oppinions on this bird. I suspect it is a juvenile Chipping Sparrow because I saw one feeding along side it but since I am new to birding I wanted a second oppinion to be sure. Thanks.
