    Opinion on CN

not even 20, but your envy and coveting does show.

    Opinion on CN

It is not that, it is the bs about a prc binocular being better than a much better binocular (NL) costing much less. It does not devalue anything. but the hype is over the top because they think they are getting a 9 for a 3. Go enjoy your popcorn.

    Opinion on CN

This is why I am getting fed up with forums; the lectures. Many over there have never held a Swarovski.

    Opinion on CN

IHF on CN when discussing the new bc from prc ,WOW, they have really drank the Koolaid over there. "In fact I don't know of any notable optical innovations by Swarovski. I would like to learn more if there are any. Swarovski strikes me as the ultimate follower company, somehow out-incrementing...

    New Binocular Bargains Thread

Let's see how the new kid on the block does down the road. The price will rise if they provide after sales service in the US by a stable vendor. Who wants to ship them back to the prc. I am sure many thought zenrays were great at one time.

Zeiss Conquest HD 8x32 vs. 8x42 for birding

That was a lot of birds there, LOL.

    NL >=50 mm versions?

I have the SV 10X50, and though heavier I preferred it to the 10X42 SV, larger FOV and better light gathering overall IMO. If mounting glass there is also the SLC 10X56 to consider, or the WX 10X50 which may be priced near the new to be NL 10X52?

the second coming of zenray, of which the hype is for a fragment the world wide population. Going after bulb mogel is just envy and jealousy, I know he does not take this forum seriously.

    Nikon HG 8x30 dissection

If you have owned over 40 bins over 5 years, and you are in praise of maven, why own a Nikon? just buy maven, issue solved.

Yes the ink is flowing alright. Owner of an 8x42 since 2017, and used often.

    Nikon HG 8x30 dissection

I was just being funny, since a discussion with a retailer recently, relayed to me that weight seemed to be more of an issue with binoculars these days. More customers are requiring lighter weight glass.

    Nikon HG 8x30 dissection

The Nikon MHGs are better built than they appear, and they were built light for the geriatric crowd to take on hikes without weighing them down.

    Wondering about Ultravids, esp. 12x50...

If one does not wear glasses, one cannot go wrong with the UV 10X50 or 12X50. I use these frequently, and at night as they exhibit no ghosting issues. I find the colors exceptional to my 2014 SV 10X50.

Time for these boosters to order their bc binos, instead of just talking about reviews.

    Perhaps another game changer

If people were to write enthusiastic posts about a new product by a manufacturer you like, would you also call that "hype"? And would you say this "hype" is also driven by the likes of Neil English, Holger Merlitz and Piergiovanni Salimbeni? I actually tried most of the glass I own before I...

    Perhaps another game changer

I know what Holger stated, also he did discuss QA/QC issues and not many in the US are going to want to ship them to China for service. I do not always agree with other reviewers, nothing wrong with that - based on opinions, but I do not drink the kool aid.

    Perhaps another game changer

The big three have existed for years world wide. So this bc bino is going to eclipse their sales? This hype is driven by a few on cn and here, not really a large market but a few eager beavers.
