    If you feed them . . .

Well . . . . . . as Curtis pointed out, he's been here a few times, (But then he's only about 45 miles away in Temecula.), and GrandPappaMike's been here from Riverside which is about 65 miles. We've also had people come up from the Oceanside/Vista area, and a few locals from Garner Valley and...

Glad to hear of the Positive outcome. My last encounter with them didn't end as well . . . I wanted them to start manufacturing the 96 ouncers again, and they said they wouldn't.

    No rain for a month!

They get the protein they need from eating 'itty bitty insects. That and the sugar water will do them just fine!!!

Well, since migrating from "the other one", I've visitied but never posted another message/picture on that forum but noticed today someone posted a message stating they no longer are seeing any embedded advertisements in the members post. Hummingbird Secrets

Here's one of your "little friends" I caught checking out our hummingbird feeders earlier this year. I had no idea what it was, and kept chasing it around the feeder trying to get a good picture. Took about a hundred shots with the flash blasting away it's eyes from about 12 inches away, only to...

Crossing over to the light side

Once iVillage took over they started changing everything 'cept for the way one places and reads post. Load up Firefox and the couple of extensions bobky suggested and it will make a huge difference in the way that site works. You'd be amazed if you could see all the different stuff that's being...

    Bird feeder closeness

I can yell, clap my hands, or there can be another strange noise and that'll run them all off for a couple of seconds, but a flash going off every 60 seconds doesn't have any affect on them at all, and I really don't think it'll hurt their eyes. Now if I grabbed one of 'em, held them right...

    Hummer in trouble ? ? ?

I would, 'cept that shot was number 95 out 0f 99 that were taken on auto pilot this morning. I've looked but haven't seen the individual that appears in the photo.

    Hummer in trouble ? ? ?

Captured this shot this morning, and it looks like this little guy might have it's foot tangled up in something . . .

    Bird feeder closeness

Guess it would depend on how close and at what angle the camera is to the glass. If you're close enough where the flash won't reflect off the glass it might be okay. Also, make sure when shooting through glass if your camera is set to "auto focus" that it actually focuses in on the object...
