Such a weird story to happen at 9:30 PM Central US time. Only half an hour ago. Seriously long story short, my mother calls me theres a big bird outside near my house I go to inspect and it is a duck that looks like the included pic, and limping, we try to herd it into a safe spot to capture...

What bird do you find annoying?

Only one bird truly annoys me so far, that bird would be the Blue Jay. Its screech is dreadfully annoying. There is just something about it, I have lots of species visiting daily, and lots of groups of birds but only the blue jay has been an issue. Do any annoy you? Drake.

    A wonderful return.

My wife's favorite, last year while outside feeding the birds he would dance all around the tree, upside down, spinning singing and the sort. In fact he is the one in my avatar/pic by my name. Drake.

Has anyone used the Water Wiggler in their bird baths?

Never used it, but it does say "Safe for use with heater." So it should work in your heated bird bath. Looks like it alone might keep water from freezing, since it keeps the water moving. Drake.

First dark-eyed Junco of the year.

Well, first one this cold season, I kinda missed them over the spring and summer etc. With the cold for me comes juncos, woodpeckers and goldfinches, sadly we don't get to see the goldfinches when they are in breeding plumage, just dull colors. Drake. Nebraska USA

Hawk or Eagle ... Nebraska, USA.

We are a LONG LONG LONG way from a sea, but it was right at a sand pit, where they are like dredging sand and gravel. Was great to watch, I will surely return out there for more sightings. Is it like a rare sighting or common to be found in Nebraska? Drake.

ID Orange Finch Like Bird Waghäusel Germany

No, its just a color variant, pretty common actually. The change toward orange and yellow plumage may be related to a high incidence of avian pox that was first noted in the early 1970s but probably began earlier. http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3793/is_199901/ai_n8828775
