    overlooked bird groups

    I'm going to throw it out there that warblers get a lot of attention but sparrows get overlooked by many or at least they don't get the same level of attention. I guess it is the striking colors of the warblers. Any other over looked bird groups?

    Today on lunch break at Wollaston beach in Quincy Massachusetts. I observed a great Black backed Gull killing a ring billed gull. It was a bit shocking to see gull on gull predation but then again great black backs are known to be brutes. Out of curiosity has anyone else seen a great Black...

    Info on Legend of Wings found in Africa

    I'm wondering about the pair of wings found in Africa years back. They where supposedly from a yet unidentified species of swallow perhaps. I know there has to be an interesting story about this finding i just can't seem to track it down. Thanks

    Sharpie or Coops Ma. USA

    Took this photo in Hingham Massachusetts, the hawk was chasing house sparrows up inside the undercarriage of cars. I had initially thought it was a small male coopers hawk but it could be a very large female Sharpie. Im still thinking Coops.Any thoughts?

    Forgetting old Lifers

    I know for some of you this may have happened long ago. I am now starting to forget seeing certain birds for the first time (maybe the more common ones). Not because of my age just because of time span. It kind of sucks what do you do in these situations besides wish you took notes on everthing.
