    Moth ID Portugal

    It certainly is a moth. A Burnet species. There are a number of Burnets in southern Europe but this is something like Transparent Burnet (Zygaena purpuralis).

    I feel this is a good candidate for Dark then, but they are tricky pair, and I've never seen Dark.

    When were these taken? First is July Highflyer (which doesn't just fly in July), and the second is a form of either Common or Dark Marbled Carpet. When it was taken may be a clue to the ID.
