    Quick question for a Harpia owner

    Hello there, could anybody owning a Harpia please just confirm to me whether the grooved metal ring at the objective lens (see photo) is supposed to be stuck to the scope (ie,immovable), or should it be loose enough that it can we swivelled round and round in a circle with one's finger ?     problems using Olympus LS10 with external mic

    Hello... I recently got a LS10 and I want to use it with an external microphone ( Sennheiser ME66 ) ...my problem is that when i stick the mic in, the level meter drops right down to almost zero and there is suddenly ''no power'' - any recordings are much much fainter than they would be using...

    best cassette recorder for birdsong recording ?
