    Does Any red-bellied woodpecker have yellow between bill and forehead

    I have seen many red-bellied woodpeckers in many states, nad haven't noticed this. But has anyone seen one with yellowish wash between bill and forehead or am I seeing a Golden-fronted? If not, I may have seen Colorado's first Golden-fronted woodpecker last Friday.

    My Screech owls had babies

    Yesterday, I heard a Blue Jay and Squirrel scolding something in my side yard. I searched and found the adult Western Screech Owl, which has been in the yard since March. But the fun thing is the mate was next to it and above them were four little puff-balls of baby owl.

    Spring arriving in Colorado.

    While doing work related stuff in e. Colorado. I had 18 Sandhill Crane, a bit early for here. Lots of No. Pintails moving through and approx. 5,000 Snow Geese (a few Ross'). It was up to 20 degree F. by noon.
