    Some kind of teal? I.D. Help please, So. California

    Song Birds- Confirmation? So. California

    I was shooting in my favorite hide and another birder i.d. this bird as a "Fox Sparrow" Doesn't look like the book. It resembles a song sparrow to me. The second bird looks like a goldfinch, but the coloring doesn't appear right. Fox Sparrow? 1 Fox Sparrow? 2 Goldfinch ?

    Semipalmated Sandpiper or Western Sandpiper? So. California

    These were shot in a estuary in Southern California. There have been reported that Semipalmated Sandpipers have been spotted there. I have not seen one before and these appear different that the Western Sandpipers with their clean white breasts. Photo one
