    Year List 2023

    Not posted for a while, only managed 173 sp. last year so well on the way of beating that with total so far 104. All within 30 miles. Last four are: Smew, Scaup, Great Egret, Great Northern Diver. I will post full list at some point, enjoying it and feel I'm back at it. Happy Birding 🦉

    good views of woodcock: your experiences

    Had one land about 4ft away while standing having a cigarette (when i smoked) at my patio door one evening, after about 30 seconds it clocked me and was off. Hard to find easy to flush.

    Not that many if any reported in Lincolnshire yet looks like they are steering clear by that map ( no puns please ) but I'm not from Lincs so crack on ;) Not that many wooded areas but a few so will go check them out and hope for the Hawmouse call from above :t:

    Hi all :smoke: Im a very happy user of the Nikon 82ED with the zoom 25x75 MCII but im now after a fixed lense, which would be the best to go for the 38x wide or 30x wide ? I really would like to know which is the wider for eye relief as you probably know that the zoom is rubbish for this...

    Hi all had a friend send these 3 pictures of a Warbler ? Chiffy my first thought but it does seem to have a prominent supercilium ? Any ideas ? The bird didnt call or anything. Was seen yesterday at 1430 in Wheatley Park School in Holton South Oxfordshire.
