    Year List 2023

    Not posted for a while, only managed 173 sp. last year so well on the way of beating that with total so far 104. All within 30 miles. Last four are: Smew, Scaup, Great Egret, Great Northern Diver. I will post full list at some point, enjoying it and feel I'm back at it. Happy Birding 🦉

    Warbler ?

    Hi all had a friend send these 3 pictures of a Warbler ? Chiffy my first thought but it does seem to have a prominent supercilium ? Any ideas ? The bird didnt call or anything. Was seen yesterday at 1430 in Wheatley Park School in Holton South Oxfordshire.

    Redpolls

    A friend sent me these yesterday, he has had up to 18 in his garden all week. Bird on the perch to me looks like a Lesser but the bird on the ground would you say possible Common/Mealy ? or just a Lesser ? Any ideas ;)

    I know this is a strange question but have a look at the moon through your scopes then look at the brightest star bottom right of it ? it looks like a small moon with the same shape as the moon ????? Can anyone explain this ? is this a reflection ??????????????????:eek!:
