    Im a bird guide in the Highlands, some people tip others do not. It is a farly even split. As Andrew says the price quoted is the price qouted and a tip not a necessity and I certainly do not expect a tip. In saying that when I use guides abroad I do tip!! :-) Hope you have a great holiday...

    Lumix G5 or G6

    Does the G5 or G6 have the facility to switch the viewfinder to automatic, ie it switches the viewfinder automatically when you lift to your eye, but back to the screen when you take it away? The G1/G2 had this but not the G3. Many thanks in advance.

    Definately Udale bay as suggested, there is a little hide worth visiting just under the A9 Kessock Bridge Inverness side (there is phone numeron the doorto call to get the access code) Also nice walks just to the east of Inverness at Alturlie and Milton of Culloden. Have a great trip.

    Hi Kathi, you would be better with a scope at Merkinch for looking over the mud flats and the firth. Tollie you will be fine with Binos, the Speyside guide will have a scope. PM me when you get your Inverness dates.

    Had Crested on the path from the kiosk to the main visitor centre at Garten on Tuesday this week, as previous post says learn the call it makes finding them a lot easier. Ptarmigan from the viewing platform at the Ptarmigan restaurant. Ring Ouzel feeding young in car park near main building...
