    A nice nocturnal turn up a few minutes ago, when a . 72: Grey Plover or two called a few times. I've seen flocks of probable Grey Plover from my window, always too far to be absolutely certain they weren't Goldens. And a Tawny Owl too.

    BH: here I keep hearing an Oystercatcher, which I still need for the year, here. But it's a Song Thrush doing a reasonable impression. It'll be a case of "Cry wolf", when one does eventually fly over!

    Signs of spring today: fighting Chaffinches, pair of Sparrowhawks about, 2 Pied Wagtails returned to territory, Rooks displaying. Yes, Richard, occasionally heard the Redwings sing before they leave - a flock of 50+ this pm around, Ken. Warm & sunny, Buff-tailed Bumbles about.

    Yeah, you read reports of people touring southern Africa, yet I'm having difficulty finding out about cross border hire cars. Odd when four borders meet v close to Victoria Falls.
