    Lurgangreen Open day There will be an open day tomorrow (Sunday) at the Oscar Merne bird hide at Lurgangreen from 11am untill 6pm. Everyone is welcome. There are still lots of birds around. I had my first summer migrants there yesterday, a flock of 8 sandwich Terns.

    A good day out by any standards! Where did you have the Twite? I need them for the Patchwork Challenge.. The best today at Lurgangreen this evening were 3 Slavonian Grebes and 5 Pink-footed Geese on the marsh. Greylag have become very scarce recently at Lurgangreen.
