    Birding Setup Upgrade

    Having been using a used D50 with the older version of the 80-400vr lense and am looking at opinions on a uograde setup. See my ideas: 1. D90 2. D5300 was planning on buying the updated 800-400vr. My idea wasbuying a decent piece of glass would be money better spent than a high end body.

    I am heading to Mexico next sunday for 8 days and being my first trip to mexico I woul like to know if bringing the birding gear for photography is worth it. I am considering a Nikon D50; 15-55 AFS VR & 80-400VR. Has anyone visited Mayan Riviera (Playa del Carmen) area. Thanks for any info.
