    repair cost

Wonder why they were so expensive to repair. I sent 2 pairs of Leica for service/repair via a optics store in September to Leica, Portugal. 8x32BA and 8-12x42 duovids. Got the 8x32 back 3 weeks later. Cleaned and new rubber armour £35. Duovids still outstanding as they need 'spare parts', but...

    Leica warranty period?

I bought a pair of Leica 8x32 BA in 1998. Sent them to leica Portugal last month for cleaning. Came back after 3 weeks cleaned and new rubber armour. £35. Also sent my duovids away at the same time as rubber armour had come loose and needed re collomating. Not got them back yet as they needed...

Is there a phone scoping adaptor for Kowa TSN 883 and iPhoneX?

Opticron may do one also. Phoneskope is hugely expensive if you live outside the US. With shipping it's close to £100 shipped to UK. For what is literally a little piece of plastic!!!

    At last...

My personal opinion is that the pricing you have mentioned is optimistic, for example this may be a bit more competitive. Hope this helps! I see what you mean. Where I've been looking is over priced. Thanks for that.

    At last...

How would a 10x42FL stack up against 7x or 8x? I have a shop local to me that has a 10x42FL for £1,149.00. Would these be worth a look? They look really good. Also they would be a lot lighter than my leica 10x42BN's and I'm curious.

Why would the RSPCA need to call the fire Brigade for a young gull rescue?

    Blackbird feeding Eurasian Robin, UK

Last year I saw a willow warbler feeding a fledgling swallow. Parent swallows would come in and feed it. When they left the warbler would pop in and feed it. Greedy little begger. Must be that urge to feed a youngster.

Apple iphone XS Max - PhoneSkope Adaptor

I have a phonescope adaptor but for a leica scope. Its a snug fit. Doesn't move when put onto scope eyepiece. But use mine with an LG phone. Should be ok with a bigger iPhone I reckon.

    Should birdwatchers wear black?

Many times I have had it explained to me by dog walkers that the reason their dog is harassing me is because I'm wearing black! Their dog is harassing you because it's not trained very well. Not because you're wearing black!!

You can get the Collins as a app on your smartphone. £12.99 I think it still is. Highly recommend. Saves carrying a book in your pocket.
