    Very useful Phil, first time I have seen the 84 report. JTB highlighted recently the new birds predicted by SMW in this report. Many of those predicted, and some not predicted have now been recorded.On the down side is the loss to the reserve of birds like corn bunting, tree sparrow, turtle...

    With Brian's site not active at present please note that at Bredons Hardwick main pit there is a pink footed goose and a European whitefront this afternoon with 170 greylag also 17 golden plover a large lapwing flock and 75 wigeon. View from farm gateway geese in field adjoining road

    May be unseasonal Dave, but always a number of records in Worcestershire in July. I normally get single flyovers on patch this month origin unknown. There has been steady numbers seen at Spurn and other locations earlier this week your record is consistent with this movement.

    I had forgotten about the new bypass that could thwart any possible acquisition not only by the trust but by private bidders.All in all future is not bright we are slowly losing sites in Worcestershire Bredon H has effectively gone and Clifton is in the balance must try and remain optimistic.

    Brian. Is the guy at the new house actually disturbing breeding birds, if so Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 should apply. Perhaps contact should be made with local Wildlife Officer at West Mercia Police. A word in his ear may educate him as to his responsibilities.

    I would echo that, obvious endemics the rail ruykyu robin Pryers woodpecker chance of Amami woodcock at dusk which I was fortunate to see also green pigeon varied tit etc there may be some early migrants also on offer.
