    EL close focus distance change?

    With the launch of the new NL Swarovski said they would not be changing the EL but have they? The technical data sheets now say the close focusing distance is now 3.3m compared to the original 1.5m.     To use objective covers or not

    I have been a proud owner of a new pair of El 8.5x 42 pro for three weeks now. They amaze me every time I look through them. I am still wondering weather to use the objective covers or not. I was just wondering what other people do out of curiosity?

    Sigma or Tamron macro lens

    I am thinking of getting my first macro lens. I have been looking at either the Sigma 105 2.8 DG or the Tamron SP AF 90 2.9 Di Please could any one give me any advise on either? I will be using it on a Nikon D80 for photographing flowers and possibly dragonflies and lizards.
