experience with stay on case with Swaro ATS 80?

You can rotate the body about 10 degrees or so inside the case at which point the tension of the cover kicks in. I use mine on a hide clamp with a 90 degree head adjustment which gets over the problem. Russ

    SV versus SF versus NV

As a long term user of zeiss fl 7x42 the first thing I noticed about the 8 and 10 noctovids today were the weight!! I'm not prone to suffering from any of the usual optical aberrations but I found the noctovids, sadly, unuseable as there were no eyecup positions where I wasnt struggling with...

    Goshawk? London, UK

Surely if the OP was familiar , as with most birders, wouldn't it just be : " there's a blob flying over, its unidentifiable, but odds are it's a Buzzard, but there's no point in getting a bunch of BirdForumers to chuck in a bunch of guesses (albeit statistically likely guesses)??" Russ

I feel your pain!! Seven species totalling about 25 individuals which, if not LYUs were all tatty, Lunar Underwing being marginally the best. Thirty to forty wasps, a hornet and spider. Watching waders in South England

Today, on a rising tide at Farlington, over 1000 waders of 12 species from the viewpoint which didnt include the numerous Curlew in the harbour plus a few Whimbrel no doubt. I'm sure Turnstone, Green Sandpiper and Common Sandpiper would have been additions if I'd had time. Russ

    Craghoppers lined winter trousers

Taxboy mine were from four winters ago so I guess they may have stopped selling them or , more likely being a winter item, may not have them in stock until they cross over from summer to winter clothing. Unless I lose or gain a stone I'm hoping two pairs will keep me going for some years...

    Craghoppers lined winter trousers

For the past three winters Ive lived and died in M&S Blue Harbour Stormwear, alternating between two pairs; much prefer them to my Craghoppers which dont get used but I guess its what youre comfy in. I find the Craghoppers outer too stiff around the knees. Russ
