    Crabs on Isla Canela, South Spain

    I'm not sure of the correct name for them but I think they're Fiddler Crabs they have one big front claw instead of 2 like normal crabs. I saw 100s when I was there a couple of years ago.

    I can't even log in! when I enter my e-mail address it tells me that this e-mail address is already in use! of course it's in use...... it's ME that's bleeping using it!!!!! Going on holliday tomorrow without the use of Birdguides it seems.

    There are no grouse at Lunt only Partridge and pheasant, probably the nearest place to Lunt for grouse would be the West Lancashire moors.

    Saw a Merlin try to take a ring ouzel last year near the black grouse viewpoint half way up the Cairngorms where the old ski lift station is.

    Removing roof: looking to prevent house sparrows

    I think the only temporary solution is to block off as many holes as you can, I wouldn't use expanding foam though as this can lift your roof tiles.

    At what age do Firecrests attain their adult plumage? I ask because I believe I saw a firecrest today in immature plumage as in figure 9 page 1343 BWP is this possible?
